Loving yourself

I think one of the important thing that we forget is to love ourselves, to tell ourselves that we are good enough to do all that we love to do and to take care of ourselves. There is no other greater love than self love. It all starts within you. If you don't love yourself, how will you ever receive the love that's flowing towards you? It has to start with you. You cannot bury yourself in some other form of love and call it self love. You need to stay with yourself even when you think it's not working out, because you have nowhere else to go. You are your home. You need to build yourself up because you have torn yourself up far too much. Let's stop that. Love yourself. Tell yourself that it's okay to be sad sometimes. Take care of yourself, it's okay to put yourself first. If you are not able to help yourself, how on earth can you help someone else? They way you love yourself sets tone for everything else that comes in your life. There is a whole lot of love in

Window

Image
One of the things that make me happy is seeing light peep through the window. I think it is absolutely beautiful. It makes me feel so happy. I don't own this picture. Credits-unknown It resembles something that has a deeper meaning for me. For example, let's say the window is a person. We are much more transparent than we think we are.  We are sometimes transparent of  our feelings, whether we are happy or sad or anything at all. And most of the time it shows up.  In short, I think whatever feelings or whatever good that's in us ultimately shines through. It always finds a way to shine through us and it's a beautiful vision.  Good night everyone. I hope you all had a beautiful day and hope the coming days are beautiful too.

Reasons why you should read BIG MAGIC.

Elizabeth Gilbert takes you on a whimsical journey. All though it might seem confusing at times, she takes her time to explain what is what.  BIG MAGIC lifts up a weight from our shoulders of notions of helping the world be a better world. It immediately takes effect as you feel lighter and lighter and ready to take on the knowledge that she is going to provide you with. If helping the world is what you love, then do it. Don't take up this task as if it's a job that you should do. Liz Gilbert talks about how ideas are individual beings in this universe and they are constantly in search of receptive souls who will help them reach the universe as songs, as books and so on. She helps us how to not feel immense pain when we encounter failure.  You must always move onto the NEXT project or whatever it is. She tells us how to not put on responsibility on our God given talents/vocation/hobby.  All what is needed from us is to release it onto the universe regardless of what the outco

Love

Love transcends all. Love has the power to make us move . It's definitely a moving force.  I don't think we can ever pin point exactly what this force is. It's always going to be mysterious. It's always going to move in mysterious ways. It makes us want to cross the seven seas, deserts and snow covered mountains. It makes us want to protect the people that we love beyond all cost. It's the force that crosses all boundaries. It's everlasting and boundless.  It's makes us want to do the things we love the most no matter what the outcome is. It's always going to push us towards our destiny.

Art

Art is a void that we escape into. Art is everywhere. Its presence is in every one of us. I was once asked what my talent was, and I fried my brain on this question. Talent? Me? I cannot sing, dance, draw or paint and I didn't even know that I could write. So I labeled myself as a "non talented person". When did Art become one of those things that only a few could attain?  Art is the way you sing when no one's watching. It could be melodious just for you. Art is the way you breathe, the way you move, the faces you pull unknowingly, the way you just stare when you are lost on your thoughts. Everything in this world is Art, the way you build or create something (that's Art). We ecsape into this void and suddenly we become experts at what we do. Most of us love Art without even knowing.  I never dreamt that one day I would start to write and now that I know this I cherish it with all my heart. The dusk, the dawn , the stars that scatter across the sky , the rain , t

Vulnerable

I'm afraid to be vulnerable. We were all vulnerable once, mostly when we were young. As we grow up we tend to lose it. We tend to grow thicker skin, we arm ourselves and brace for the inevitable to happen. Having feeling or expressing them makes us overly sensitive. So we become strong, but not in the usual sense. We become emotionally and physically strong, but we mistake it by numbing ourselves.  Sometimes we push away our feelings and be in a state of numbness. But this is not strong. Being strong doesn't have to do anything with discarding our human feelings, our sorrows, our happiness. We could be both strong as well as vulnerable. Being vulnerable exposes us to different challenges. Sometimes we get hurt, sometimes we learn new things and sometimes we succeed. Being vulnerable doesn't have to mean one should be numb. I hope we all will be strong and vulnerable.

Uncertainty

The word uncertainty scares the hell out of me. I love to know what happens at every step of the way. I want to be  in control of what I do . And not knowing that scares me to death. I have never been like this until very recently.  I run out of breath, anxiety gets the better of me. Not knowing every step of the way is scary and that's the beauty of it. But embracing that beauty is quite brutal to be honest. It makes us open to opportunities and challenges that will help us grow and move forward. I'm trying my very best to enjoy and bask in it. I'm trying to let go of the hold that I have of everything. What happens, happens .
